Felix will make history today.

Red Bull Stratos will launch today. Felix Baumgartner will travel to the edge of space in a balloon, travelling to 120,000 ft / 36,5 km where he will attempt to become the first man to break the speed of sound in freefall. This jump will challenge a record that has been set for over 50 years and also gather valuable medical and scientific data.

Personally I think this is amazingly ballsy, and I commend Red Bull for putting their proverbial cocks on a block. This undertaking is so risky and there is far more that can go wrong than can go right. Imagine the PR nightmare if Felix doesn’t make it and people around the world watch his demise live on YouTube. I wish more brands had the titanium bull balls or Red Bull, we’d see far more interesting campaigns going on out there.

You can watch the launch live here. Enjoy!
